Accessibility

Beautiful Days provide facilities and support for those wishing to attend who have accessibility requirements. If you are planning to return Beautiful Days then, thank you for your continued support. If you have not been before then please don’t hesitate to ask for practical advice. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the key information which should help give you an understanding of what to expect when you get to the festival.

Beautiful Days takes place at Escot Park in Devon in an outdoor, rural location. Some areas are hilly and can be more difficult for those in wheelchairs or with mobility problems to access. There are some roads and pathways on site but the landscape can be difficult to traverse especially if the weather is bad. We will once again be providing a free shuttle bus between the Accessible Campsite and the Medical Centre which will run throughout the weekend.

ACCESSIBLE CAMPSITE PITCHES
The Accessible Campsite is adjacent to the main festival site and accessed from the RED gate via a concrete road which leads up to the entrance to the festival’s main arenas. Space is limited and must be agreed in advance. To ensure space is allocated fairly and efficiently we are allocating pitches – by doing this we can make sure we comfortably accommodate everyone who successfully applies for space.

Revised pitch sizes for 2025 are:

  • 9m x 8m for CAMPERVANS
  • 9m x 8m for CARAVANS (including space for a car parked next to caravan)
  • 9m X 8m for TENTS WITH CAR PARKED BESIDE TENT
  • 9m X 8m for FAMILY TENT PITCHES (WITH OR WITHOUT CAR)
  • 5m X 4m for TENTS (NON-FAMILY PITCHES WITHOUT CAR)

Entrance/exits should be 1 metre clear of your neighbour within these limits.

FAMILY / LARGER PITCHES
We appreciate families have larger tents, may have more than one and so may require two pitches. The sizes/guides are not to restrict anyone attending, they are to ensure we can make the best use of the space we have. If you have specific requirements please let us know and we will do our best to help.

ACCESSIBLE CAMPERVAN & CARAVAN PASSES
As well as Campervans we offer a limited number of Caravan pitches with space for your Car next to them in The Accessible Campsite.

Carer/PA tickets are non-transferable and cannot be sold. One carer ticket permitted per person.

VIEWING PLATFORMS

There is space in The Theatre Tent for wheelchair users, stewards will advise on position and assist on the day.

ASSISTANCE DOGS
Service dogs are welcome to join us and Assistance Dogs subject to application
An assistance dog is legally permitted to accompany its client, owner, or partner, at all times and in all places, within the United Kingdom. A therapy dog/emotional support dog is not legally recognised in the UK. Emotional support dogs in the UK are not considered to be assistance dogs – this is because an assistance dog is trained to perform specific tasks (such as a Guide Dog or Hearing Dog) to help a disabled person and are usually qualified by one of the charitable organisations registered as members of Assistance Dogs UK.
These dogs are trained to be in an environments that are busy and loud. An emotional support dog does not have this training and as such is considered a pet under UK law. We do not allow any animals other than registered assistance dogs and therefore do not accept applications for Therapy Dogs/Emotional Support Dogs.
Please email [email protected] for an Assistance Dog Request Form
