Since 1970 the Ruisrock Festival has been held annually on the island of Ruissalo, Turku, Finland making it the oldest festival in the country. The festival leans, as much of Scandinavia does, towards the heavier side of rock.

However the likes of John Legend (yes they like their R&B too), Juliette And The Licks and The Magic Numbers performed last year. Expect to find a healthy mix of Finnish and international acts.

Camping is available over the weekend.
