Sad to hear that our friend Pete Loveday passed away this week. A brilliant artist and author, Pete produced a number of truly amazing themed paintings for Beautiful Days which thousands have enjoyed over the years in our programmes. He also had a stall at the festival until recent years showcasing his work. Pete is best known for his series of Big Bang Comics featuring the adventures of hippie ‘Russell’ which started in the 80’s and later became the Big Trip Travel Agency series which actually featured the Levellers in Issue 2. Pete’s work ranks amongst the most successful and best of British underground comics.
