After winning A Greener Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards in 2007 the Big Session Festival returns to De Montfort Hall and surrounding four acre gardens for the fourth edition of the event.

The festival is the creation of folk rockers, Oysterband, and it will bring a host of special guests from the world of folk and roots across three stage stages, indoor and out, over three days.

There will also be lunchtime and impromptu sessions over the weekend, ceilidh, children's area, real ale, food and market stalls.
